Cue Components, Infinity Jet Black Phenolic® was developed specifically for custom cue makers. This rod is manufactured using the finest materials and a proprietary pigmented-resin system so that you don't get the linen look under magnification similar to the inferior stuff sold by other sources in Skokie. We manufacture these here and these are not the China manufactured Wizard tips we've all known through the years. Water Buffalo hide has been used for many years in making fine playing tips. Water Buffalo hide is thicker and has a higher density than cow hide. It lasts three times longer than an ordinary cow hide. Water Buffalo, unlike cows spend a good part of their lives in water giving their hide a much different feel and smell. Cyanoacrylates (CAs) have become the adhesive of choice for many cue building applications. High quality CAs, when used properly, form bonds that in many cases are stronger than the material that is being adhered.

Our Cyanoacrylates are highly refined which, combined with its freshness, gives a guaranteed 2 year shelf life. There is no finer CA available.

A Word From Cue Components: We have used every product on the market and this CA is by far the finest for custom cue building. Our CA is highly refined and fresh, fresh, fresh. Our CA doesn't sit in the manufacturers warehouse and then sit on store shelves for months. Freshness is very important. Try it and see for yourself. How To Use Cyanoacrylates

Heat and moisture will decrease the shelf life of CAs. Unopened bottles can be stored in a freezer or refrigerator, but allow them to reach room temperature before using. Keep your bottles in a cool place that won't be exposed to direct sunlight and store away from bottles of accelerators. Due to the freshness of our CAs, their shelf life is guaranteed for 24 months.

For the initial opening of the top, loosen and retighten the top first to relieve internal pressure, then hold the bottle against a near vertical surface and cut off the top 1/32" with a knife or razor blade without squeezing the bottle. To prevent clogging, do not let the tip of the nozzle touch a surface that has been sprayed with any Accelerator. Before replacing the colored cap, set the bottle down hard to knock the remaining CA back into the bottle before squeezing it in an upright position to blow air through the nozzle, then wipe the tip clean.

With all CAs, the closer the parts fit together, the stronger the bond. Always hold the bonding surfaces together as tightly as possible. Any rough spots on the mating surfaces should be smoothed out. Although CAs will hold objects together with considerable strength within seconds, the full strength of the bond is not reached for several hours. Allow for this before subjecting parts to maximum stress. Also, CAs are generally a little less brittle and have higher strength when they are allowed to cure on their own.

Ivorite III is a Melamine based ferrule. These are the finest ferrules. Try some and see for yourself. Cue Components Ivorite-III™ is the finest composite based ferrule material available for custom cue makers. The hit is the same regardless which way you hold your cue. Ivorite-III™ is strong, impact-resistant and bonds well with Cyanoacrylate and epoxy as well as wood glue. It machines, drills, taps and sands well. Ivorite-III™ will polish to a beautiful high gloss soft white finish. Unlike other ferrule materials, Ivorite-III™ is not porous and will not absorb blue chalk. It produces a solid hit. If you try it once, you'll use it exclusively on all your cues. These can be used as capped or uncapped type ferrules.

For installing tips on these ferrules we highly recommend our Cyanoacrylate for tips.

Note: This product is sold by some clowns as Aegis which is the same as Ivorite™ which is Melamine. The difference, you get to pay more for the name Aegis from the Bozo's.
