Pool Cue Ferrules

Fiber ferrule pads are used between the ferrule and the tip. Some believe this protects the ferrule while others believe it enhances the 'hit'. Both are actually correct. It depends which camp you're in.

We recommend using these especially with Genuine Elephant Ivory Ferrules.

Each pad is .031" thick and 14mm diameter.

Our acrylic disk ferrule pads are much softer than fiber or carbon fiber pads. They measure .552 in diameter and .080 in thickness. Our pads are thicker than our competition to allow room for error when cutting down (sometimes we shave off too much). These will protect the ferrule without compromising the hit. This material glues on best with either cyanoacrylate adhesives.

These are a fine white linen based weave. These blanks are drilled 5/16" through. These are impact resistant and quite strong whereby producing a softer medium hit. They bond well with epoxy and wood glue. The dimensions are approximately .545 in diameter and 1" in length.

Mix and Match between Off White and Pearl white.

These are original Meucci replacements ferrule blanks. They are .562 round X 1.250" in length or by popular demand, 1" in length. You can drill and tap these as needed for your requirements. These are priced on a per 10 basis.

Micarta is strong, impact-resistant and bonds well with Cyanoacrylate and epoxy as well as wood glue. It machines, drills, taps and sands well. This micarta will polish to a beautiful high gloss soft yellowish finish. Unlike other ferrule materials, Micarta is not porous and will not absorb blue chalk. It produces a solid hit. If you try it once, you'll use it exclusively on all your cues. These can be used as capped or uncapped type ferrules.

The Juma material is a light ivory colored thermoset plastic rod. It machines easily and polishes up to a fine luster, and will not mushroom. It is chalk resistant when polished. The hit is great and feels a lot like Ivory.

Note: This product is sold by some clowns as Aegis which is the same as Ivorite™ which is Melamine. The difference, you get to pay more for the name Aegis from the Bozo's.

The Lex Ferrules in tapped format are designed with a thread diameter of 0.2555, offering precision and reliability. Made from Lexan (polycarbonate material), these ferrules are lightweight, durable, and bendable without cracking. Perfect for jumps and breaks with added spin and draw. Available in Clear or Black.

These are a very light weight yet strong composite ferrule material which delivers a exceptional 'hit'. It is easily maintained, polishes to a high shine and is chalk resistant. These are slightly over 1" in length and 13mm in diameter with an inside diameter of 5/16" (.3125).

Ivorine 3® tube is a linen based rolled and molded product. It is impact resistant and bonds with epoxy, cyanoacrylates and wood glue. It is very strong and easy to machine to a high luster and is impervious to chalk. Soft white to ivory in color. Incredible playing characteristics.

These are .562 outside diameter with a through hole of .250 inside diameter by a length of 1.08".

A lightweight UV stabilized Thermoplastic material. Soft white in color with good chalk resistance, this tubing machines easily and works well with most glues. Epoxy is recommended for installation. XTC hits slightly softer than the Melamine materials. Not recommended for use in Jump/Break Cues, or for use with any coolants or solvents containing hydrocarbons when machining as the material may break down. Use of Synthetic Coolants or Solvents is fine.

The photo shows Black Buffalo Horn materials in ferrules, joints, butt caps and slabs. The white is Camel bone which is great for inlay or ivory substitute.

These are all premium materials. They will finish up extremely well.

The Lex Ferrules in solid format are made of ultra-durable Lexan (polycarbonate material). These ferrules are lightweight, resistant to cracks, and perfect for those who value durability and performance. Aegis II is a Linen Melamine based thermoset ferrule material. It is rolled and molded for high strength. It bonds well with Epoxy, Cyanoacrylate, and wood glues. Machines well, and the color varies from soft white to Ivory colored.

Thermoset materials were originally developed as strong, inexpensive alternatives to metals for industrial applications (i.e. washers, insulators, bushings). For these types of industrial applications characteristics such as color and cleanliness are less critical. Therefore, the manufacturing process for thermosets does not adjust easily to control such factors. We have made enormous efforts to control these characteristics when manufacturing thermoset materials for the billiard industry, however, despite our best efforts you may discover some inconsistencies. Such inconsistencies are unavoidable and should be considered part of the cost of working with these materials.

This pool cue ferrule material is Genuine yellow Westinghouse Linen Micarta from many moons ago. This is a linen based micarta ferrule material (not a paper based micarta ferrule material). These are approximately .540" round x 1.060" in length. The squares have a slightly larger diameter.

Drilled and tapped are supplied in round form only. Squares cannot be supplied drilled and tapped.
