Tough Tip™ Cyanoacrylate
Tough Tip™ Cyanoacrylate
This product is specifically designed to install tips and has a 'rubber toughened" mixture which can withstand and absorb the shock of the 'hit'. Other epoxies and glues bond well but the glue cracks from the hit and therefore can cause premature debonding whereas the tip will pop off. The rubber toughened formula absorbs this impact and does not crack.
Now, for the best part... all rubber toughened cyanoacrylates are black in color. This is extremely messy to use but does work great. However, our formula is available in a clear mixture only!!! A great breakthrough for the tip installer.
These are offered as 1oz bottles. This is sufficient to do many, many tip installations.

Unit price perIntroducing the all new Triad Cue Tip by Joe Barringer to compete with the ever popular Tweeten Triangle Cue Tips.
As we all know, Tweeten Fibre Company (manufacturers of the Triangle Cue Tip) is a very difficult company to deal with, sort of stuck up and for no good reason. They have a niche market in a few products and have never done anything since "grandpa" invented their company & products.
In any event, in Tweeten's quest for arrogance, we decided to manufacture a competing product and sell them for a much more realistic price! Introducing, our all new Triad Cue Tips. If you can tell the difference in play (when you get a good Triangle), send them back and we'll eat them with a glass of milk!
The playability is the same as Tweeten's Triangle Cue Tips! That is, when you get a good box of Tweeten's Triangle tips or cull out the few in a box that are usable. You'll be amazed and pleasantly surprised with the consistency and playability of our Triad cue tips.
These are only available in 14mm.
Overall, we are offering you, our friends and clients, a superb quality product and naturally at a much lower price point.
Take advantage of this opportunity and say no to Tweeten's extremely high pricing structure. Competition is a wonderful thing! God Bless America!

Water Buffalo Pro Tips
Water Buffalo Pro Tips
Water Buffalo hide has been used for many years in making fine playing tips. Water Buffalo hide is thicker and has a higher density than cow hide. It lasts three times longer than an ordinary cow hide. Water Buffalo, unlike cows spend a good part of their lives in water giving their hide a much different feel and smell. You'll notice the difference the first time you hit with one. These offer a medium to medium hard hit, last longer and is one of the best tips on the market for the money.

Micarta And Its Many Myths
What is micarta? The actual word and definition has become diluted through the decades since it's invention in and around 1911 by Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Micarta was actually produced as an industrial laminate for electrical insulation. Soon afterwards it was started to be used as a decorative laminate and thus Formica was born. Both products were marketed under the trade name 'micarta'. As such, it became used generically. Micarta today has been used by any laminated composite material including glass epoxy otherwise known as G10.
Westinghouse produced what is called 'antique ivory', better known as a grade FR-2 laminate. This was comprised of paper sheets which were soaked in epoxy resin and then baked and pressed into huge sheets. The color was incidental as it was an industrial product. Color was really never a goal of any industrial laminate. In fact, the color from run to run varied greatly. The purpose of the FT-2 was to be an electrical insulator with different characteristics than the much more common paper grades which were manufactured with phenolic resins.
As for the asbestos laminates we hear so much about, there were actually two grades. We believe neither of these two grades have been produced in the USA since the mid 1960's or so. They were indeed manufactured in Europe during the 1970's. This material was for industrial use as an electrical insulator as well. This material is extremely dangerous as it is asbestos based. Fortunately, little remains today.
The Westinghouse micarta division was eventually sold to International Paper (IP) in 1995 an was run for several years. They manufactured these micarta laminates for decorative purposes while based in South Carolina. Eventually IP sold the facility and it was subsequently sold again. It was eventually liquidated and sold off around 2004 or thereabouts.
