These Sniper cue tips are manufactured with boar hide that was slowly tanned underground without using chemicals. They don't say what they did use but we do know that they don't use chemicals. Tiger claims it can take up to a year but we know better but it makes for good reading and hype. Tiger Products then claims that they treat the leather with some magical and mysterious product which they don't name but this magical potion will give your Sniper tip "characteristics that will improve your game". So, this magical 'dust' will now "improve your game". The heck with the tip - let's all ask Tiger Products to bottle this magical dust!
Now we'll discuss VACULAM which Tiger Products claims to be a trademarked word which comes from vacuum and laminated. Tiger Products is claiming that they put all their tips together with a vacuum laminated process where it vacuum presses the tips together. Unfortunately this very same process also draws the glue into the leather fibers which many now agree is not good for hit and consistency. You don't want to play with glue; you want to play with leather. Whether or not VACULAM is any good is a matter of opinion - try a Sniper tip and you be the judge as they do play well despite the 'ticking' sound.
Tiger Products goes on to say that they also have added a new "treatment" called "APP" or Advanced Pressurized Process. They claim by doing this process it can make the cue tips adaptable to any player, for any game regardless how, when or where you play. How convenient! Personally, we think these and all Tiger Tips are manufactured with their secret process called "FOC" - Full of Crap!
Regardless whether they are manufactured with APP or FOC, they do play well and also hold chalk and Tiger claims they will not mushroom. Yada, Yada, Yada and of course they will give you maximum control, (whatever that is), consistency and of course the least amount of deflection. I wonder how they know since that really can't be tested accurately or consistently. Tiger Sniper Laminated Cue Tips - More hype and another cue tips that competes with all the rest. More crap to buy but they do play well.

This is Genuine yellow Westinghouse Paper Micarta pool cue ferrule material from many moons ago. This is a paper based micarta ferrule material. This is not the asbestos Micarta; this is safer. This paper based micarta will generate a good amount of spin similar to the asbestos material. These are a rare ferrule material so get them while you can. Strictly in limited supply. These slabs are cut from the finest Elephant Ivory Tusk. We sell this in two sizes; small random slabs and large random slabs.
Small random slabs are .125 thick. They vary in width from 1/2 inch up in to perhaps 1 inch in width and usually run 2" to 4" in length. These are random slabs and are priced as random slabs. At this price you cannot specify lengths and/or widths.

Made of Birdseye Maple with 4 points of Purpleheart. They are oversized (approximately .900/950 at the joint -- 1.350 -1.400 at the butt). The points are uniform within close tolerances. You will not be disappointed.
This product is specifically designed to install tips and has a 'rubber toughened" mixture which can withstand and absorb the shock of the 'hit'. Other epoxies and glues bond well but the glue cracks from the hit and therefore can cause premature debonding whereas the tip will pop off. The rubber toughened formula absorbs this impact and does not crack.
Now, for the best part... all rubber toughened cyanoacrylates are black in color. This is extremely messy to use but does work great. However, our formula is available in a clear mixture only!!! A great breakthrough for the tip installer.

4-Step Cleaning System
1. Clean
Apply Liquid Shaft Cleaner using the Ultra Plush Microfiber Cloth to remove chalk, dirt, and oils.
2. Wipe
Use the Ultra Fine Cue Shaft Cleaning Eraser to remove any excess build-up
3. Wax
Apply a thin layer of Cue Wax for a smoother, protected finish.
4. Burnish
Use the Leather Burnisher to seal and slick the shaft for a professional feel.
Cyanoacrylates (CAs) have become the adhesive of choice for many cue building applications. High quality CAs, when used properly, form bonds that in many cases are stronger than the material that is being adhered.
Our Cyanoacrylates are highly refined which, combined with its freshness, gives a guaranteed 2 year shelf life. There is no finer CA available.

Our CA doesn't sit in the manufacturers warehouse and then sit on store shelves for months. Freshness is very important. Try it and see for yourself. How To Use Cyanoacrylates
Heat and moisture will decrease the shelf life of CAs. Unopened bottles can be stored in a freezer or refrigerator, but allow them to reach room temperature before using. Keep your bottles in a cool place that won't be exposed to direct sunlight and store away from bottles of accelerators. Due to the freshness of our CAs, their shelf life is guaranteed for 24 months.
For the initial opening of the top, loosen and retighten the top first to relieve internal pressure, then hold the bottle against a near vertical surface and cut off the top 1/32" with a knife or razor blade without squeezing the bottle. To prevent clogging, do not let the tip of the nozzle touch a surface that has been sprayed with any Accelerator. Before replacing the colored cap, set the bottle down hard to knock the remaining CA back into the bottle before squeezing it in an upright position to blow air through the nozzle, then wipe the tip clean.
With all CAs, the closer the parts fit together, the stronger the bond. Always hold the bonding surfaces together as tightly as possible. Any rough spots on the mating surfaces should be smoothed out. Although CAs will hold objects together with considerable strength within seconds, the full strength of the bond is not reached for several hours. Allow for this before subjecting parts to maximum stress. Also, CAs are generally a little less brittle and have higher strength when they are allowed to cure on their own.

Cue Components Micarta is the finest composite based ferrule material available for custom cue makers. The hit is the same regardless which way you hold your cue. Micarta is strong, impact-resistant and bonds well with Cyanoacrylate and epoxy as well as wood glue. It machines, drills, taps and sands well. This micarta will polish to a beautiful high gloss soft yellowish finish. Unlike other ferrule materials, Micarta is not porous and will not absorb blue chalk. It produces a solid hit. If you try it once, you'll use it exclusively on all your cues. These can be used as capped or uncapped type ferrules.
