Buffalo horn is known for its strength, durability, and deep natural finish. It machines cleanly, polishes beautifully, and provides a solid, traditional feel many cue makers appreciate. Whether you’re installing buffalo horn ferrules, building horn joint collars, creating butt caps, or using slabs for inlays and accents, this material works exceptionally well in custom cue construction.

A lightweight UV stabilized Thermoplastic material. Soft white in color with good chalk resistance, this tubing machines easily and works well with most glues. Epoxy is recommended for installation. XTC hits slightly softer than the Melamine materials. Not recommended for use in Jump/Break Cues, or for use with any coolants or solvents containing hydrocarbons when machining as the material may break down. Use of Synthetic Coolants or Solvents is fine.

Each ferrule is approximately .530 in diameter and 1.100" in length with a 5/16-14 thread and a glue relief hole.

Great lightweight ferrules.

This is an aluminum clamp that will help you to be sure your tip is attached to the ferrule and the glue has time to dry sturdy and straight. This way you can let the cue sit on its own while the glue dries. This is an affordable way to be sure your new tip will stick around.

This pool cue ferrule material is Genuine yellow Westinghouse Linen Micarta from many moons ago. This is a linen based micarta ferrule material (not a paper based micarta ferrule material). This linen based micarta is a strong ferrule material that will still generate a good amount of spin. These are a rare ferrule material so get them while you can. Strictly in limited supply. The photo above shows raw solid Westinghouse Linen Micarta ferrule blanks in block form, square form, in round form, and a drilled and tapped raw micarta ferrule. And lastly, there is one finished and polished so you know what they will look like when installed (we do nice work, huh!). :-)

Cue Components Micarta is the finest composite based ferrule material available for custom cue makers. The hit is the same regardless which way you hold your cue. Micarta is strong, impact-resistant and bonds well with Cyanoacrylate and epoxy as well as wood glue. It machines, drills, taps and sands well. This micarta will polish to a beautiful high gloss soft yellowish finish. Unlike other ferrule materials, Micarta is not porous and will not absorb blue chalk. It produces a solid hit. If you try it once, you'll use it exclusively on all your cues. These can be used as capped or uncapped type ferrules.

These are original Meucci replacements ferrule blanks. They are .562 round X 1.250" in length or by popular demand, 1" in length. You can drill and tap these as needed for your requirements. These are priced on a per 10 basis.

The Lex Ferrules in tapped format are designed with a thread diameter of 0.2555, offering precision and reliability. Made from Lexan (polycarbonate material), these ferrules are lightweight, durable, and bendable without cracking. Perfect for jumps and breaks with added spin and draw. Available in Clear or Black.

The Juma material is a light ivory colored thermoset plastic rod. It machines easily and polishes up to a fine luster, and will not mushroom. It is chalk resistant when polished. The hit is great and feels a lot like Ivory.

Cue Components, Infinity Jet Black Phenolic® was developed specifically for custom cue makers. This rod is manufactured using the finest materials and a proprietary pigmented-resin system so that you don't get the linen look under magnification similar to the inferior stuff sold by other sources in Skokie. The material is strong, easy to machine, and jet black in color after applying a clear coat.

These slabs are cut from the finest Elephant Ivory Tusk. We sell this in two sizes; small random slabs and large random slabs.

Small random slabs are .125 thick. They vary in width from 1/2 inch up in to perhaps 1 inch in width and usually run 2" to 4" in length. These are random slabs and are priced as random slabs. At this price you cannot specify lengths and/or widths.

Large random slabs are .125 thick. They vary in width from 1 inch up to perhaps 3 or 4 inchs in width and usually run 4" up to 10" in length. These are random slabs and are priced as random slabs.

At the above prices, you cannot specify lengths and/or widths. We are selling this by the ounce. The larger your order, the larger the pieces we can offer you. If you order 2 ounces of random large slabs, we can't provide you with 10" lengths. Remember, the wider and longer pieces require more weight so we recommend ordering at least 4 ounces to get some super large pieces. We will round your order up or down to accommodate what we supply. This product is specifically designed to install tips and has a 'rubber toughened" mixture which can withstand and absorb the shock of the 'hit'. Other epoxies and glues bond well but the glue cracks from the hit and therefore can cause premature debonding whereas the tip will pop off. The rubber toughened formula absorbs this impact and does not crack.

Now, for the best part... all rubber toughened cyanoacrylates are black in color. This is extremely messy to use but does work great. However, our formula is available in a clear mixture only!!! A great breakthrough for the tip installer.
